# not me.
Im proud to say I have speed tested every motorbike I have owned down the A50.

Speed kills, I know, but then again so does driving at 15mph in a 40 zone, and a hefty perentage of road accidents are caused by cars doing less than 30.

Another (random) noteworthy fact is that traffic cops cause more fatalities each year than ecstasy does.
(, Wed 17 Sep 2003, 15:42, archived)
# Thank you
For saying what I wanted to, but couldn't be bothered to.
less the bike and A50 bit

# Bravo!
God, this bored(!) is populated by real uptight guys today!
The pic was funny so I though that I'd share. Jesus you'd think I'd said 'Bin Laden is my mate' or something.

What is the point of speed traps on quiet country lanes at 7am? I know I may end up a horses arse or into a tractor but highly unlikely to take out a bus full of school kids.

I have two small boys and never speed or text when they are with me. They sit quietly in their carseats and listen to Mr Manson. When they are not in the car, when the roads are clear and the weather is fine then I THRASH the arse of my car. Mr Plod just got lucky one day.

ACTUALLY, my best mate is a copper and half of her office has been done - even the Police know that it is a money making scheme for the Chief Constable.

AND, whilst I'm on the subject - my hubby is a casualty doctor and sees more RTA's now than 10 years ago - so who says that these F****** Gatsos save lives?
OK, rant over. Live and let live and all that crap.
PS - I miss my Ducati . . .
(, Wed 17 Sep 2003, 20:10, archived)
# then don't speed
it's the foolproof method of not getting caught.

And as for casting the first stone - I can't drive, but I know plenty of people who do drive and don't speed.

I have, however, been injured in a car crash as a passenger where the person driving was speeding.

As an aside, I was just reading a cat newsgroup where someone was asking if the little white bumps on their cat's stomach were something to worry about.

Luckily several people waded in with "they are his nipples, you idiot" before it got taken to the vet.
