# ok then...
Countdown is a quiz programme on channel 4 in the uk, which is essentially a word game, with a bit of math thrown in. There is normally 2 word games, 2 maths games and a "conundrum".

My attempt at a witty take on the programme consists of not only a play on words, but also a "shout out" to the other dalek jokes of the day which pertain mainly to the word "exterminate."

In my "joke" I have tried to suggest that a word game has given the letters that spell out the word "exterminate", but alas the DALEK contestant has not spotted this, hence has only made the word "taxi".

The final comment is from a cunt known as Giles Brandreth.

# perfect explanation
right down to 'Exterminate' being 11 letters, and your description of the becardiganed Brandreth.
'I always get up in time for countdown'

# that is THE funniest thing
i have seen in a really really really really REALLY long time.

i actually laughed out loud for a prolonged amount of time, thumped the table, and then thumped the girlfriend for good measure.

thankyou for lighting my life with laughter.

Ps. my girlfriend called you a cunt.

mainly cos it took her three runs through the anim to get the joke

i've saved that to my HDD, one day i shall come across it again and it will amuse me until my ears spin off - again.
