# Embarrassingly enough, i'm RISing
on both of these. What the hell's going on, old boy?

# in the olden days it was blue screen
now it`s green screen

old George does nothing real these days, just has somebody (an actor usually) in front of the green screen and the graphics wizards fill in all the wooshy stuff

# ah. thank you kindly
you fucking geek. *snogs* :D

# I think it`s called "chromakeying" (can`t be arsed to google)
- they filter out the screen`s colour (I don`t know why it went from blue to green) on the computer and add in all the background stuffs - same way they do the weather (and you used to see a huge blurry movement around Michael Fish`s crazy jackets)

# Michael Fish's crazy jackets don't half
gmtfh.

# hahaha - "Dear Cunts In Charge Of Religion,
your fucking guidebook or whatever the fucking thing is don't half give me the horn. Espcecially on St Paul."

# Me too
I've googled hard and I'm still in the dark

# george lucas has very famously adopted the practice of green screen
special effects. This means he does very little shooting of ACTUAL locations and just makes them on a pc afterwards.....very unconvincingly i might add

# This is quite possibly
The least humourous and geek addled thing I have ever seen
(, Mon 17 Apr 2006, 16:56, archived)
# it means that instead of spending a few thousand picking a nice location to shoot and pay a few people to make props
he can spend millions on hiring computer artists and other geeky sorts

- and yeah most of the time it looks quite naff

# Because
The Tatooine you grew up in looked nothing like that, right?
(, Mon 17 Apr 2006, 17:48, archived)
# No, it is because ...
the Tatooine I grew up watching in the original Star Wars trilogy looks nothing like that.
(, Tue 18 Apr 2006, 22:45, archived)
# cheers dude!
although was the sly 'VERY FAMOUSLY' strictlynecessary...? ;)
have a woo, then. :)
(, Mon 17 Apr 2006, 16:56, archived)
