Humour is such a complicated thing
its ok to laugh about killing animals, people dying of aids, religion, disabilities and rape, but a deviant sexual desire is out of bounds.

I see no difference between a rapist of any gender of any age and a paedophile.
But a large number of people on here find rape a source for massive amusement.

there's no I'm right you're wrongness or reason to get shirty.

Paedos are abhorations of nature, people with a crossed wire in their head (the desire to have sex is based on procreation, a child is too young to procreate, therefore it is a mistake in nature to supply these desires).

But in the case of almost all similar humour on this board I would say you can replace the word/character of a paedophile with that of "Monster". It is merely a worst monster imaginable, And therefore the current most extreme comedy crutch.

It's like calling someone Hitler, or Joey Deacon. All of it is fucking wrong, abusive and a bad thing, and yet it is pretty much all accepted as "a joke".

I don't think you can say one is ok and not the other for the target of humour.

But all that said, I don't do jokes about rape, so I shall also avoid paedo stuff from now on too.
