I am offended because that
sign is not a 50 foot advertisement to FIND MADDY!!!!

Jesus Christy, people! I hear NASA's preparing a laser to etch her face onto the moon next month.

And then several thousand astrologers ring the police shouting "I've found the maddy of which you speak!"

How
ironic would it be if that giant billboard actually abducted those children? Oh, how we'd laugh!

THEN who'd be inflating who?
perhaps it is time we were a little more careful of our air-filled counterparts

oh for fuck sake
i like the way News of the world is so prominent. Perhaps they could have made that a little smaller so the picture of the girl could be TWICE AS LARGE. Still, as long as people buy the paper after seeing it

if maddie gets found
they might have to capture another child to keep people buying papers.

the second it mentioned "heartstrings", i sighed
you can't help but feel the media is just playing on people's emotions now

I think it's calmed
down a little now, but a couple of weeks back it was like, at every single major sporting event, people were complaining because
they could have used the coverage to broadcast a constant advertisement of her face, or something, which would obviously help.
But they didn't! Those heartless bastards! All that advertising space being used in such a shameful way to advertise products and not missing children.

been home for the weekend
and on the way to the bus stop today (first time i left the house) saw yellow ribbons everywhere, grandparents live in the parish i live in apparently. yeh it's shit, but she's gonna fall off the front page eventually no matter how hard they try, and that £2.5mil reward should go to the national missing persons' charity rather than whoever "finds" her to help out other families in the same situation

I feel sorry for
all the other parents whose missing kids haven't had even a sentence of front page coverage in the last month or so

exactly
it's not like she's the first and only child to have gone missing, and at the risk of being bastard morbid, past experience tells us there's shit-all chance she'll be found alive

i also love
the fact that they seem to have stolen a million from the reward pot, was some of it time dependent?

It's like some
sort of gameshow to them
"Find the missing child in 72 hours! For every hour after that, you lose £10,000! And you also lose the chance to win a luxury villa"

Why has the Pope granted them an audience?
Unless one of their priests has her hidden away, I doubt there's alot he can do.
And yes! What about the fucking thousands of other missing kids!!!

Let's not get totally swept away on a wave of hate
Of course the Pope can't do anything, they don't expect him to. It's about supporting them and making sure they don't feel totally shit.
I mean, for fuck's sake, one of their kids just disappeared. We shouldn't forget that.
