on a politcal board the other month there was some discussion of venezualaand an american proclaimed that chavez had to go for the benefit of his people. it was pointed out that chavez was going to raise oil prices to pay for health care and education for his people, wasn't that for their benefit? and the american came back with - rather brilliantly, i thought - 'the us will not allow chavez to raise the price of oil to a point where it hurts the us economy. so if he tries to, we'll bomb them'. which is the international equivalent of a protection racket, it would seem.
it's all gone a bit poltical here hasn't it? i'd post a photoshop i did today but i don't have ftp. anyone want to host it for me until tomorrow? warning: it contains footballers.

The whole thing with Chavez is VERY dodgyIt's like the US has stopped even bothering to pretend anymore, sponsering military coups, targeted assasinations, it's all up for grabs now!
