do people honestly believe that Bush is that stupid?I know he pretends to be, but that's how he's won the last four elections he's been in and got him into the Whitehouse.
My problem with the impending war is that we're not being treated like adults and that if there is evidence that Saddam is providing weapons to terrorists then how's about telling us? We are grown ups after all.
That aside, it's about the oil mainly in my view.

sorry, doesn't wash with meI think he plays a nice line in "stupid hillbilly" and people fall for it. It's a great way to stay in power - get your opponents to underestimate you.
Don't forget, he hasn't actually done anything yet with Iraq, just threatened to. Given his public image he's created, most people believe he would bomb the crap out of Iraq, so isn't that the desired effect if you want Iraq to step down?

why doesn't everyone just tell americaTO F*CK OFF???
make a global alliance of all countries that aren't america and then start restricting them for a change. deprive them of oil. make them buy nissan micras. it'll do them good. they might even stop watching tv 16 hours a day to see what country they've blown up today.
on a politcal board the other month there was some discussion of venezualaand an american proclaimed that chavez had to go for the benefit of his people. it was pointed out that chavez was going to raise oil prices to pay for health care and education for his people, wasn't that for their benefit? and the american came back with - rather brilliantly, i thought - "the us will not allow chavez to raise the price of oil to a point where it hurts the us economy. so if he tries to, we'll bomb them". which is the international equivalent of a protection racket, it would seem.
it's all gone a bit poltical here hasn't it? i'd post a photoshop i did today but i don't have ftp. anyone want to host it for me until tomorrow? warning: it contains footballers.

Would make everywhere more peaceful and we wouldn't have to watch 'Friends' anymore.
BTW, USA have been ignoring UN resolutions for years but cos they are the biggest kid in the playground (with the baddest toys) then they're kind of too scary to fight.
My Mummy always said: bullies = cowards.
