Why knock people's hard work off the messageboard when you spend 3 minutes doing these?
(, Thu 3 Jan 2008, 21:39, archived)
Does it matter? It's the first time I've posted and I did try. I don't have a whole evening to waste and I don't have photoshop. It's just an Internet message board and it's just a fun little game. I made these ages ago for something similar where people didn't rip my head off for being a bit silly. I enjoy reading b3ta, anyone can sign up and anyone can post their effort. Get over yourselves.

WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE???

And we do big things.*
Sometimes these big things get in the news and other places too.
*I have never done a "big thing".

That's why it says "Post a New Message" at the top of the board.
I think some people need a reality check.
Or a jaffa cake.

I first posted when there was a movie poster image challenge, it was a good way to get into b3ta. It's only now I've been around for a while that I find them a bit tiresome, but we all have to start somewhere.
Oh, and I'd recommend Gimp if you don't want to bother with photoshop.

some people seem to hate it, but it's 100% free and I personally use it for almost everything I do and it works fine.

Do not post image after image after image as you knock everyone elses work off.
If you'd been watching here for ages you'd know that.
Maybe talkboard is more your place!

silly is good, silly is positively encouraged. and i for one love this sort of compo for the very reason that new folk get to join in, my first posts were also not very good, some would say they haven't improved much.
however as you've been lurking in the shadows for a while, you'll have gleaned some sort of idea of the standard of a lot of the images posted here. you'll also know the board only holds 15 new threads, posting your preprepared stock of images in quick succession knocks newly created high class posts off the board before anyone has had a chance to look at them.
like i said i love new blood, but slow down a bit. take a wee bit more time, with or without photoshop. check out paint.net, it's a nice free package.

i do like this sort of thing because it's a nice easy shoe-in to the board, and our comments can at times be rather cutting, which i also rather enjoy,
and as the christmas dec's are still up it's still officially the season of goodwill.
no more mr nice guy next week.
