# Today's (functioning) Tube Map (for Londoners)
Look how far we've progressed in the last hundred years or so:

I know it's small, but I think you get the point

Edit: Ohhhh, I got FP'ed. It's always nicest when you don't expect it. At least I imagine so - never had one before!

# were there tube problems then?
Victoria line was running fine...
(, Thu 13 Feb 2003, 10:26, archived)
# Apparently the central and Waterloo & City lines
have been a bit tardy of late.
(, Thu 13 Feb 2003, 10:28, archived)
# well....
on the local news this morning they just listed the lines that weren't having problems ('cos it was quicker)

Also map.tfl.gov.uk/realtime.asp is quite amusing as it colours in the lines that are having problems. Currently it looks like a normal tube map! And I've just noticed that I need to edit most of the Northern Line out of my original post.

I think all the terrorists are sitting at home thinking "why bother, no one would notice if we did anything anyway"

# Backwards
talking of backwards stuff...Upton Park is Krap Not Pu
Plus, old Robert Mugabe (bless his evil soul) must originally hail from Yorkshire if you say his surname backwards, E-Ba-Gum....

# Did you know
that St John's Wood is the only tube station that doesn't contain any of the letters from the word "Mackerel"
(, Thu 13 Feb 2003, 12:49, archived)
# mackerel
And did you also know that Swindon Town is the only English league football team that doesn't contain a letter from the word 'mackerel'

# I love the tubes!
Such a fantastic pic, due a big woo! and a bigger yay!

I live in Essex and work in North London.
Haha...how i laughed when I heard the tubes were knackered and nished off trying to get into work and went to McDonalds for breakfast and a little sleep instead.

Finally got in at 11am, (I was up at 7am) and it's almost lunchtime!! woo yay!!

# *weeps*
It's so true. To get from Finsbury Park to Holland Park I took the Picadilly line to EARL'S COURT and the district line to Notting Hill, from which I walked.

# The BUSES are running fine
I got a BUS this morning, and the BUS I was on got me there with no hitches. Indeed every BUS route seems to work okay at the moment.

# Except
when they have to wait for some twat to drive off after parking in the bus lane while they nip into a newsagent to buy a paper.

Grrrrr.....
(, Thu 13 Feb 2003, 10:43, archived)
# But surely buses are for POOR people?

# Last time
Dr Phil tried to get to work on the bus I had to recue her from Camden and hour and a half after she set off...

# Ever tried a 25 in the morning
It takes several weeks to get anywhere in the morning traffic and is always so crowded it doesn't stop to pick up passengers. Yay.
(, Thu 13 Feb 2003, 10:57, archived)
# Could you get the yellow line from Kings Cross?
Ahhh buy KX was shut wasn't it, I had to walk to Euston to get the tube. I had to do the reverse yesterday as well.
(, Thu 13 Feb 2003, 10:53, archived)
# traffic chaos
My sister moved flat 3 days before the accident that caused all this and chose one because it was near the central line and it would shave 35 minutes off of travelling into work. Now it takes her an extra 15 minutes instead! She's a bit peeved.

# yes
I'm moving to Holland Park this month.
Think I'll walk to Olympia til they get it sorted.

# /cry
I hate to say it but this Aussie doesn't get it. Do you have to be familiar with the tube to get it? Or am I missing a subtle Fear or something?
(, Thu 13 Feb 2003, 11:16, archived)
# errrr..
...it's just a normal tube map with all the lines that were having problems this morning removed.

It's not the greatest piece of P'shopping in the world and I'm as surprised as anyone that it got FP'ed!
