My mum knew Lenny Henry before he was famous.
And that's all I have to say on this matter.

I bet it's not.
And you're just itching to go off on a three page rant.

Not at all.
She didn't know him well, and has never elaborated on the story. I have nothing more to tell.

I never said your rant would be relevant.

You're right. You didn't
What format pages? How many words would the rant have to stretch to? Is there a deadline?

I want it on my desk by Thursday!
Or something. I don't really care. Be creative.

He's married to a fat white woman.
I'm sure you could stretch that out to a page, at least.

I was at school with Michael Underwood off the telly.
Though I didn't know him personally. My friend was good friends with Alan Carr in lower school. Apparently Alan refers to my friend as "that really gay one that I knew at school".

I liked his show in the 1980s
but then again I was about 10 when it was on, and it's amazing what small children can find funny. I think I used to like Garfield back then too.

It's a shame because he's been badly served
by a lot of mediocre comedy writers in his time. His best stuff was always his earlier daft stuff. And what possessed him to do the frankly piss-poor "Chef" we may never know.
