# I finally
watched Hellboy 2 at about 3am this morning. It was ok for what it is. I don't know much about the Hellboyculture but who'd have guessed there were elves in generic US metropolis' and goblin's in Northern Ireland who talk like Yanks trying to do a bad Cork accent?

I may watch the Dark Knight tonight.

good, enjoyable popcorn fodder. Like you, I am not a huge 'fanboy' of said comics, novels etcs, but it was good enough to pass a couple of hours.

It's like all the hype about next year's 'Watchmen' film. I don't get it, and personally believe (having read the synopsis of the plot via wikipedia, as I've not read it myself) it may well bomb due to US viewer apathy to the subject matter and plot. It may end up being a great movie, but possibly not successful.

other than I have seen the trailer and it looks generic Marvel/comicbook fodder which I shall most likely watch. I have all the comics in PDF on my PC but have only looked at 2 pages.

I don't get the fuss about Batman either. It started out silly and got worse, then decided to become all moody and serious ending up with an identity more confused than James Bond.

Bale does insist on over-using the 'gruff' voice. It's quite distracting in places.
