Why not try posting it on a popular message board as your own work.
Or, if you can't find a popular one, try b3ta.

To go with my vintage leather coat.
My short cowboy boots just won't work.
Well they will, but not as well as some knee length flats.
Fucking hell I'm such a girl.

Ooh I looove those.
*sigh* I wish I was short enough to wear heels of some sort all the time.

I'm 5ft4, but I don't wear heels a lot
as I like being short. If I do wear heels they tend to be cone or stiletto though, I don't like them if they're too chunky.
At the moment I technically have enough money free to afford these, which I've been in love with since they launched:

But I won't. That'd be silly.

Tehe, those are quite similar to some I have
only mine have two ankle straps and cost £30 from TKMaxx :)
I'd love to own loads of pricey shoes though.

you haven't actually done anything wrong, despite all the naysayers up above
and it is an amusing pic. I hadn't seen it :)

He hasn't claimed it is, has he?
He's just posted a funny image he obviously found on the internet.
He's hosted it himself, and that's fine

You're right actually.
It seems the faq is out of synch with what actually happens.
Personally, I'd still not post something I didn't make in a new thread, though.

aye, the backlash it seems would be quite unbearable :)
ok, we wouldn't want it every thread, but just because the poor sod (in his first post on this board) didn't stand up and say "found this on net, not mine, but thought you might like it"
he gets strung up by his buster browns.
T'is a fickle ol' world :) be interesting to see what would happen if a well established boarder - even rob - posted something that was obviously lifted from t'net and posted in a new thread, and he didn't say he didn't make it.
probably - not a peep from anyone, but inside they'd all be weeping silently. Alone.

Tes but he also didn't prefix it with "not my own work"
so everyone wh hasn't seen it will assume he did it

we really should cut the guy some slack. He could be a future Monkeon for all we know... Or even another Dave the Hat...
...On second thoughts, string 'im up.

True I hadn't noticed that.
Hope he does turn out to be another Monkeon. DTH on the other hand I don't think I could take another person doing that level of Pun my head might explode :)

This was posted last night by someone using a similar username
Said person apologised and understood that it was wrong to use other people's work and also wrong to hotlink.
The only difference is that it has been rehosted.

it's not 'wrong' to post other people's pics, despite what some would suggest
it is 'wrong' to hotlink or claim as your own.
This chap has done neither

Hi fella, hope you're well.
I'm jut pointing out that he hasn't claimed it as his own work, it's just a funny pic he's found on the net and posted. As per the 'holy FAQ' some people like to stick to, this is perfectly fine. I hadn't seen the image myself, and it made me chuckle

I agree it's a good pic
But he needed to specify its not his own work as that is what the board is largely for. Other that fine except haven't learn't my lines doing an inst in oct. You?

hehe, Oct. is fast approaching, you'd better get cracking.
Had to (unfortunately) miss most of the last few months due to teaching commitments in the evenings coinciding with lodge, but back into the swing of it full time form October this year, and hopefully get myself back up to speed!
/as this was his first post on /board, I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt that he probably didn't know that it would be advisable to credit where he got it from.
