it's one of my better skills... that and being a snappy dresser
hence I'm monumentally unemployable
*sighs*
I had such big hopes for myself too...

It goes well
I built my new PC and it sort of works, which is nice.

YAY
I love new PC building... I'm half thinking about getting an old PC box and making it into a media server for my songs... because I'm sick of having to turn on my real PC to be able to get them.... hmmmm - might do that this weekend actually
also - I have secret science plans that I haven't told anyone about yet but about which I am very hopeful... they're total pure science!

Secret SCIENCE plans would suit your username nicely.
My new PC started as an upgrade. In the end the only components I saved were hard drive and DVD writer.
It's a Q6600 with 4gigs RAM and an HD4850.
It am happy-making, even if all I've done with it is install and update Vista before the ladychum started making *ahem ahem I'm in bed it's midnight hint hint* noises.

if you can hang on for a few months you're liable to see the new range of itel chips (i7?)
which will cause prices for mid-range quad cores to drop a tad, or allow more bang for your buck with the new ones.
I spent months saving up though, and wanted stuff now :D
RAM is silly cheap at the moment unless you want DDR3.
Graphics cards are quite good. the Radeon HD4800 series are ridiculous value, though not cheap as such.
