# HAHAHAHA!
I know i really, really, really shouldn't laugh at that.

But it's so perfect.....

# Ha ha ha!
So it wasn't Verne Troyer in the house, it was her! After the chemo shrunk her innit!
(, Fri 6 Feb 2009, 23:15, archived)
# How long till the series starts
that follows her around and watches her die?
(, Fri 6 Feb 2009, 23:15, archived)
# I think Living are already filming
(, Fri 6 Feb 2009, 23:16, archived)
# nice one,
I'll get on tele when I run up and slap her on the noggin then!
(, Fri 6 Feb 2009, 23:17, archived)
# Cancer is the best thing that ever happened to her
She went from pariah to someone the nation can feel sorry for in one foul swoop.

I may feel slightly bad for thinking like this.

*self spangs*

# She is a cancer on the arse of TV!
(, Sat 7 Feb 2009, 0:03, archived)
# you've got to play her head
like a bongo drum
(, Fri 6 Feb 2009, 23:22, archived)
# ^This
Mind you, I watched the Terry Pratchett thing the other day, and it really touched me...

So maybe a series about her, and her bravery will help ease the nations angst.
(, Fri 6 Feb 2009, 23:18, archived)
# To be honest with you,
Terry Pratchett is someone that is well respected all over the world and has contributed a lot of worth to the world. Jade Goody is someone who got famous for being in a house, then started losing fame and went back into the same house, just with some other people who had been on telly. That isn't to say I like seeing her suffer, but they are very different people of very different standing in the world.
(, Fri 6 Feb 2009, 23:20, archived)
# I dont care
we all die. and pay taxes. just cos they are famous doesnt make it harder/better/easier

mind you i study psychology and Pratchett is a good source of info for alzheimers, eloquent and doesnt ask for sympathy
(, Fri 6 Feb 2009, 23:23, archived)
# I enjoy Terry Pratchett's works of fiction
but I would hardly say that he has contributed a lot of worth. Doctors contribute a lot of worth. Teachers contribute a lot of worth. Firemen contribute a lot of worth. Novelists and inane TV personalities alike contribute roughly the same amount.

So unless Terry Pratchett has fed a lot of third world children I don't know about, he hasn't really contributed anything of any real worth.
(, Fri 6 Feb 2009, 23:38, archived)
# Well i don't know about that.
There are plenty of authors who have helped people, plenty of books that have helped people. You don't need to give someone a heart bypass to save/change their life.
(, Fri 6 Feb 2009, 23:42, archived)
# Jade Goody - Terry Pratchett?
Can't believe the connection has been made somehow, one of my fave authors, and a retard from fake TV, bizarre.
(, Fri 6 Feb 2009, 23:45, archived)
# Well,
there is a new series of programs looking at Alzheimers, which is following Terry Pratchett around as he comes to terms with his Posterior Cortical Atrophy. Innit!
(, Fri 6 Feb 2009, 23:52, archived)
# yeh but no but yeh...
I know the show, recorded it, gonna watch it, but still can't see the connection. Actually looking forward to watchin it, anyone seen it?
(, Fri 6 Feb 2009, 23:59, archived)
# Unless you're talking about Chicken Soup for the Soul
I must disagree.
(, Fri 6 Feb 2009, 23:46, archived)
# I'm not saying it did for me,
but take something like Catcher in the Rye. A lot of people claim it helped them through their disenfranchised youths and such. There are plenty of books out there that have helped people through difficult times in their lives.
(, Fri 6 Feb 2009, 23:54, archived)
# except maybe beatles fans...
(, Fri 6 Feb 2009, 23:57, archived)
# But disenfranchisment and youth go hand in hand.
Disenfranchisement is usually solved by a lack of youth. Growing up is the best medicine.
(, Fri 6 Feb 2009, 23:59, archived)
# Of course.
We have all been there! Maybe you had music, maybe someone else had books to help them through it :)
(, Sat 7 Feb 2009, 0:14, archived)
# Also: he's not as funny as he thinks he is
I mean the whole alzheimers thing is more than a bit unpleasant but let's get some perspective here.

He wrote third-rate fantasy novels with an allusion to humour and spotty retards who didn't know better loved him for it.
(, Fri 6 Feb 2009, 23:57, archived)
# HULL! *guilty sniggers*
(, Fri 6 Feb 2009, 23:17, archived)
# sniggers? lacist
nice work
(, Fri 6 Feb 2009, 23:19, archived)
# It's a band like S-Club but all black...
*gets coat*

And I'm slapping these Gorgon spangs together like microwaved burgers as they enter my (slightly adjusted) head
(, Fri 6 Feb 2009, 23:22, archived)
# Gorgon is a moron?
morgan gorgan?

gay gorgons?
(, Fri 6 Feb 2009, 23:25, archived)
# Well that's shot down all the shit ideas I had left then...
;)
(, Fri 6 Feb 2009, 23:28, archived)
# you want shit ideas?
you cant handle my shit ideas

did you order a code red?
(, Fri 6 Feb 2009, 23:30, archived)
# Are you quite sure Sir?
It will mean changing the light bulb...
(, Fri 6 Feb 2009, 23:33, archived)
# Flash Gorgon?
Flesh Gorgon?

Gorgon the Gopher?
(, Fri 6 Feb 2009, 23:50, archived)
# Too soon
Please wait at least a year after she's died.

(Disclaimer: As much as I despise the whole celebrity bullshit and "famous for being famous" culture she personifies I don't want her to die, just her career)
(, Fri 6 Feb 2009, 23:17, archived)
# But that will be forever!
She is blatantly not ill and it is all that evil Max Cliffords doing!
(, Fri 6 Feb 2009, 23:17, archived)
# You know, I hate to admit it and really don't want to believe even he could be capable of this,
but the thought had occurred, esp since pics of her supposedly post-chemo she has quite apparent eyebrow hair and cranial stubble.

But frankly, under his direction, any fuckin thing is possible, and we'll only be sure if the poor lass drops dead.

Of course, if it comes to light it is all BS, I'm pretty darn sure he won't be the one taking the fall for it...

(, Fri 6 Feb 2009, 23:37, archived)
# Well
he was happy to exploit is sick daughter to get some anti-government publicity back in the 90s.
There is nothing that is beneath him.

He's done more to damage this country than any politician.
(, Fri 6 Feb 2009, 23:54, archived)
# Jade Goody
Kinda new to this, but I don't personally want any harm to come to Jade Goody (especially the C word: not C***) but you have to admit, the likeness is uncanny!
(, Fri 6 Feb 2009, 23:24, archived)
# I have to admit I did do a bit of a snigger
But just a little bit!!
(, Fri 6 Feb 2009, 23:41, archived)
# why does everyone keep feeding unpleasant ignorant bogan's egos in the first place?
let alone when it turns out they're going to drop off the twig and suddenly ascend to being a nice person with a great contribution.
