I thought that a ghostbusters PC gamewas going to be made. I was lead to believe that it would essentially be the third film with new story and all the actors coming back to record the dialogue.

The game's out next week i thinkThatw as the original plan, but because of all the publicity it's getting,a nd with it being...cough... the 25th anniversary, interest in another film has gathered so much momentum now it's a question of when not if now.

The story so far:- There is still a question mark over the film Dan Aykroyd - “…If it gets made. You don’t know until you see that script”
- “We have an outline. We have two brilliant young writers (Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky from The Office) who have approval from Ivan Reitman, Harold, Billy and myself. We have Harold and I ready to jump in, roll up our sleeves and do a draft or polish as necessary…”
- “there are definite elements from [the game] that will make it into the third movie”
- “I think it’s essential to pass the torch, in terms of the reality of where the characters would be at this time in life”
- Alyssa Milano is a new character in the game and Dan hopes she’ll be in the new film. Dan would like Eliza Dushku - thinks she’ll make a good villianess.
- The old idea of Manhatten and Manhellton (Akyroyd’s original idea for the third film) may still have a part in the new script. Dan wants Manhatten to be it’s own character.
