Maybe someone can explain. Why do racist nationalist types cling to 1930s German National Socialism...there are other types of racist bigotry...even on its own awful terms it is a failure. A bit like the left with Marxism in that respect. That they are total shits is an acceptable but unsatisfactory answer.

Also, the Spanish version - which let's face it lasted until the death of Franco - is catholic. And catholics are right up there were balcks and jews as US Nazi hate figures. The historical reason for US anit-catholicism is different from UK, of course. Catholics is code word for immigrants.
