We're too small to have a respectable news source.
We just tend to have different levels of bullshit which we then filter through generations of genetically imprinted cynicism and pessimism until we come to something more or less resembling the truth.

as far as I'm concerned, there's only 2 possible explanations:
1. Science. Increased frequency and severity of extreme weather events due to man-made climate change.
2. Religion. These are acts of God.
Conclusion: Either those Texas republicans are wrong about climate change, or god hates them.
Mind you, claiming 'Mother Earth' is annoyed because people are denying science is a special kind of hatstand.

I lived in an area called the Glacial Lakes Area because the area used to be covered in glaciers, but is now lakes. Hence, the name
But those glaciers disappeared tens of thousands of years ago. Maybe climate is cyclical, like Dutch people skating on the canals in the 1600s.

It is. But when you bring this up you're automatically called a climate change denier.
Even if you repeatedly yell that you agree that humans are partly responsible.

I knew an old American Indian guy who used to laugh at white people who thought they could control nature.
I agree we can certainly pollute and still are learning what does and doesn't affect the world, but I've read that even if everyone does everything that the Paris Accord requires, it will likely have minimal effect, except to economies. I've also noticed that NYC is still not under water like Al Gore promised in 2004. I know some people there who could use a little drowning.

There where yearly skating competitions in the 80´s
The 1980's not 1680's.
Now it's down to about once every 4 years.
And it's been at least 15 years since one could skate on the watersportbaan in Gent.
So yeah, god hates Protestant apostles, CO2 got nothing to do with it.

Tell me about it
Some people just want to be intellectual bullies and are waiting for the slightest sign that you may question the smallest part of climate change, the models for example, at which point they say "Why do you hate science?" etc

Noun: euphemism 'yoo-fu,mi-zum
1. An inoffensive or indirect expression that is substituted for one that is considered offensive or too harsh
For example, "your president enjoys water sports", rather than "your president enjoys getting pissed on by Russian prostitutes"
