Video games responsible for terrible Photoshopping!
Sorry for linking to the Daily Mail, especially an incredibly poor piece of journalism by "TV presenter" Anne Diamond but I just want to draw your attention to the rubbish Photoshop job they've done.

"Computer games will carry cinema-style age ratings to protect children from violent and sexual images, ministers said yesterday."
I'm pretty sure they do this already, unless I';ve just imagined all thiose '18' certificate thingies on the boxes.
EDIT: My work blobk the "add comments" page. Probably a good thing considering the torrent of abuse I tried to spew onto the page

did you read the reviews..
How can she qualify this statement..
Call of Duty 4
"You're kicked in the face, then shot - dead - and it feels pretty real."
I wonder how many times she has been kicked in the head, not to mention shot dead, to know how real it feels?!

Lee could never get her fist that far up inside Christopher Biggins? Anne had the narrower wrists, which is why I suspect it was her

It's got sod all to do with better ratings
and everything to do with monitoring your own kids entertainment content.
Unfortunately, this topic will have every opinionated tosser talking about 'their concerns'. Just don't buy the games for your kids, or if you have them, don't let your kids play them, or watch you play them. Simple.

My kids can't wait until they're a bit older
Simpsons' Hit and Run just isn't violent enough for them, they're desperate to get onto the original Grand Theft Auto.
Can't say I blame them.

my ten year old is the same
but he knows that there is a line of appropriateness, and GTA is on the other side of that line. Same with other titles I've got, Bioshock, Gears Of War.

There was a couple of parents moaning about
"Better legislation" needed on GMTV yesterday. And then they interviewed the kids who said that the aforementioned parents bought 15/18 rated games for them...
?!?!?!?!

I agree.
It's the parents that need to take responsibility for what their kids are doing, if they think it's ok for a 9 year old to play an 18 game then I would call that abuse as your exposing a child to come quite nasty images and violence. Would they plonk them down in front of the Saw films and then blame the regulators for not being explicit when the kid has nightmares? Tossers the lot of 'em.

She's a sharp one.
This game, already voluntarily rated 18, is violent and not suitable for children.
Have a Chupa-chup.

Personally,
I believe that letting a child play Animal Crossing unsupervised is akin to feeding it porridge filled with broken glass, soiled bandages and cancer.

Resident Evil 4 Description...
"When I was playing, I was stabbed to death with pitch-forks amid fountains of my own blood."
To be honest, if there was nothing else to a game other than this happening to Ann Diamond, I'd buy it.
