I have a Boxer
She looks the double of this one, just older. She also did this as a pup.
I had another Boxer before her. she also did it.
So... in answer to your question? I guess so.
Great dogs. Once you have a Boxer, you'll never go back.

Have to agree
I've had a bunch of them and they are all a bit nutty. They seem to take great delight in just being the clowns of the dog world. You can't help but love them for it.

Dogs are such mongs
mine does this too. She also licks the sofa as if it tastes of ice cream and lets my cat Oscar eat her food, despite the fact she's 10 times the size of him. She just sits there whining, waiting for him to finish. And she barks at young trees. Stupid cow.

Still claw marks on some wood bits of wall (and doors cupboards) 15 years after having dalmatians for pets
at least this doggie has a short tail, ours was able to get so happy and whip the tail around so hard the tip of it broke...there was very nearly always affectionate blood splatter on everything.
I don't think dogs are very nice. I mean they're nice, great personality and all that, just impossible to have around in a normal environment.
Fondly recalling when one of them ate a dough that was left to rise. On top of a cupboard, perhaps 2m up. There were claw marks on a chair, on the kitchen table, on a kitchen cupboard door, a smashed empty ceramic bowl and a dog whimpering, farting and wagging its tail.
