Do you think he may be taking the piss out of someone?

You've posted Stewart Lee. Now as long as you don't ask for 5k for a short film on top of that I think you'll be okay.
For the record, I think he's super great.

lots on here hate him.
Someone called him a 'sweating child-molester' which did make me titter tho.

There's an aura of smugness to it. But I always took that as part of his stage persona. Almost like an impotent bitterness.
Though he does look like a bit of a twat on those trendy thick-rims.

If his Twitter is anything to go by!
MacIntyre is just popular, I don't think he's a cunt. His audience, yes.

in How I Escaped my Certain Fate. McIntyre, too, actually: the material may be lame-going-on-awful, but the skill in delivering it is there.

Comedy, like music, politics, art & pretty much anything discussed on here is massively subjective. I don't understand the vitriol aimed at Lee. Unlike cats who are, universally, cunts.

Stop being such a grouch. I bet if you saw Lee live you'd piss your crusty knickers laughing.

When he tells jokes he is pretty damn funny.
Unfortunately he seems to regard telling jokes as somehow beneath him these days.

Stewart Lee's entire routine always smacks of jealousy of other comedians who he deems to not be as funny as he is which in itself sounds like something from one of his own routines which in itself isn't fucking funny.

That's his stage persona.
The stand up comedian Stewart lee is a different person to the real Stewart lee.
Some people don't seem to be able to get their heads around that.
