I like this for a lot of reasons
1. Theo Jansen's art is simply awesome
2. Great example of someone taking a creation of art and engineering it into something useful
3. Very glad to see we're still putting out good young engineers in this country :)

I don't get it.
I'm sure he could fix the jerkiness, but what does it do that four wheels can't? Rough terrain was mentioned but wouldn't something akin to the snow shoes you can get for car tyres be more practical and cheaper to boot?
I do like the similarity to The Luggage, mind you, and all those little legs do give me a warm, fuzzy feeling of whimsy. But 200 moving parts? Yikes.
