Why the BBC need to start a full-time gaming vlogging channel for the sanity of parents
I made this!
As a public service broadcaster I genuinely think the BBC should make long form gaming vlogger videos on YouTube but presented by people who aren't sexist, alt-right or swearing all the time. Parents need this as it's what kids watch.
I wrote that as a tweet and some magazine got in touch asking me to expand it, so I did.

Well, as long as it doesn't mean diverting any funds from any Mel & Sue project.
I'm thinking that gap toothed guy from Bargain Hunt, Sue Barker and Ade Adepitan to present.

The BBC does not need saving.....let it die
And why would you pay a double licence fee to the BBC to watch youtube videos you can watch for free now?
Oh....sorry.....you were being ironic

I know the BBC gets a lot of criticism - particularly over bias in political coverage
Bit a media landscape without them would be far worse. Murdoch / Daily Mail are far more toxic & would kid delight in the death of BBC and sail further into untruth and horror.

might be more useful to consider bbc as an umbrella term - bbc news is not bbc comedy for example
and a lot of stuff is outsourced to private production companies - presenters of the today programme are encouraged to set themselves up as private companies even. similar issues arise when discussing the nhs

A redefinition of terms would be very useful.
Why what is called TV Licensing is continuing to fund an ever increasing website is beyond the ken of my tiny little mind. Why all BBC content is free at the point of access to all when getting caught without a TV License can result in a big fine baffles my pretty little head. The time to turn the state public service broadcaster into a optional subscription service is long overdue. Who wouldn't be happy to pay for Mel & Sue's Generation Game?

if youtube is so much bigger than the beeb
why have all these independent producers and presenters not just set up their own channels?

Because it is easier money to extort a BBC fee than it is to earn it directly from subscriptions.
Entertainment which is "free at the point of use" is driving out other means of providing it. Even entertainment funded by advertising is having a hard time.

The Reunion this morning was mildly amusing. I'd always thought that was a serious show, but there's nothing the BBC won't dumb down.

YouTube seem to be trying to do something about that problem

The BBC should bring back First Class, anyway.

Post Brexit the BBC is going to have to bring back playing the national anthem after the late film and also Jim Davidson presenting Big Break.
