This is a question The Little Things

'Hullo chaps', bellows Richard McBeef, of 'the internet' fame. My boss has managed to make 'shown' into a two syllable word and it drives me round the fucking bend. Tell us about the little things that people around you do, which annoy you for more than they rationally should. Vent your spleen.

Architect
Pronounced Ark-i-tect. NOT, as the professional architect George something or other on those silly C4 programs say, "ArTitect". He is one ffs. It's a 7 year training course. Someone, somewhere along the line must have tapped him politely on the shoulder and said, "A what? An artitect? Sorry George you've got it wrong there old son." When? When? Someone tell him please.

Always thought it should be four letter long. I'm not saying all of said profession might be that, just the ones I've met.

you need more light
Had an architect look at something for us and he had to come round our house. In passing I mentioned that it was a shame that our hallway was so dark. He proceeded to mentally knock walls down and suggested that we could have a lovely double height fronted house with lots of light. The fact that in doing so we would lose a bathroom and half a bedroom making our family-friendly 1980s house completely impractical and worth £100k less did not seem to trouble him. He would definitely do it. We did not use him.
