Amendment to the links board FAQ (and maybe the code but I doubt that's practical)
To the effect that rather than linking to Buzzfeed, Poke, or other notorious content-lifting sites, posters are encouraged to put in a tiny bit of legwork and track back to the original creator of the content, rather than feeding the plagiaristic monsters that are taking over the internet.
It's only polite after all.
And if anyone's still updating the code, maybe there could be something that flashes up a message in the event of posting a link to certain domains in the order of "Link appears to be to XXXXX. We prefer to link to content directly as its creator intended. Have you tried to trace the original work?"
...or something.

How about fixing all the broken things first before adding new features? I do agree with you though barry - I have been banging on about this for ages! even reported a lot of the content stealing sites to the content owners - remember comrade? he got done by national geographic with my help ;)
