This is a question First rude thing I ever saw

Our Ginger Fuhrer's young life was scarred by the discovery of an end-of-the-pier 'What The Butler Saw' machine and a jazz mag shoved behind a toilet cistern. Tell us about the first time you realised that there was more to life than sweet shops and Friday night TV

I want this to be lies,
but it sounds like the sort of thing that probably happened for real.

I wish it were lies
I think I tried to phone childline about it but as I tried to phone them a lot when I was a kid because my dad was abusive and never once managed to get through I can't recall exactly. I can still recite Esther Rantzen saying "All of out operators are busy talking to children right now but please do keep trying to call us"

Your childhood sounds ace.
Hope your dad got what was coming to him.

Actually, having read further down, you didn't do him in, did you?

The trick is to still laugh regardless of what you're being told.
