This is a question Getting Old

Drimble asks: When was it last brought home to you just how old you're getting? We last asked this in 2004, and you're eight years older now. Eight. Years.

What do you mean 'were'?
It's still the world's biggest selling puzzle, although, the Rubik's brand is shit. It's all v-cubes these days.

Found an original cube up in the attic over the weekend
Found a website which helped me get it back to its finished state in 109 moves without the need to take it apart/move the stickers around.

F*ck knows how some people can complete it in a dozen seconds or so, took me about 20 minutes with instructions.

I think most of those speed solve Rubik's videos are played in reverse
All you see are hands, a cube, then a blur, all of a sudden the thing is finished. Take a brand new Cube (solved), then video yourself messing it up in 20 seconds then post the video in reverse on YouTube, et voila.
Not doubting it can be done, but I'm sceptical about how many people have that skill
