This is a question How nerdy are you?

This week Gary Gygax, co-creator of Dungeons and Dragons, died. A whole generation of pasty dice-obsessed nerds owes him big time. Me included.

So, in his honour, how nerdy were you? Are you still sunlight-averse? What are the sad little things you do that nobody else understands?

As an example, a B3ta regular who shall remain nameless told us, "I spent an entire school summer holiday getting my BBC Model B computer to produce filthy stories from an extensive database of names, nouns, adjectives, stock phrases and deviant sexual practices. It revolutionised the porn magazine dirty letter writing industry for ever.

Revel in your own nerdiness.

Ahem!
I am not nerdy in any way, shape or form. To tell the truth you all should banish me from this site forever with a big fat sign on my forehead saying 'too cool for us nerds'.

However, I do have a soft spot for nerds and geeks, guys with ginger hair or glasses and anyone who can make me smile with their amazing depth of knowledge on things no-one but other nerds would want to know.

me too!
my ability to befriend the nerds/IT geeks at work means I can get problems sorted with a quick phone call while lesser beings are filling in pointless forms on some stupid database and waiting a month or more!

Half the posts on this QOTW have gone right over my head. That's fine - I believe that ignorance is bliss!

Also me
substitute blond or brown hair/blue eyes for ginger hair and you've described what I like in men too.

Nah, you're in denial.
If you weren't a nerd, you wouldn't get the jokes. Getting the jokes makes you a nerd. If you did not get the jokes, why would you be here?

I too go for geek blokes.
They're ace. Even the ones I didn't stay with for long, only one in ten has been an actual bastard - the others were all top blokes, and although they weren't my personal "Mr Right"s, I'd recommend them to anyone else.

I think I have a little bit of latent geekiness since I tend to have similar interests and a similar sense of humour, although I'm not sure if I am a geek as I've only ever written one computer program and I can't remember which Star Wars film is which.
