Proper made them laugh a lot though, so I have that going for me.

Cheers bud, I think I would fit in there, they go to tech meet ups and are really social. I don't think anyone there is over 35 years old, 40 at a push.
I'm pretty sure I would actually be happy there, actually want to go in every day. Their projects are proper ones, and I would learn so much.

Hah, only thing I didn't like, is that their English was extremely perculuar, in terms of how they comments stuff.
I couldn't get my head around "You tell them what you just did.... no, not technical, too many words... too little words... no, that's too simple" And I swear what I first suggested was what we ended up with, only with maybe one word different like maybe "User can now [XYZ]" to "Added [XYZ] option".

I can't explain it, i'll learn it, but it was an adjustment.

to be fair, you do have a somewhat creative approach to written English

Yah', totally, thats why I found that bit hard.
They didn't care if I misspelt words, just that the syntax was right. They were also really tight on tabbing/spacing, but not commenting. I need to see if I can find some kind of auto-filter for that.
