This is a question Advice from Old People

Sometimes, just sometimes, old people say something worth listening to. Ok, so it's like picking the needle out of a whole haystack of mis-remembered war stories, but those gems should be celebrated.

Tell us something worthwhile an old-type person has told you.

Note, we're leaving the definition of old up to you, you smooth-skinned youngsters.

I get it
My parents used to play at that game. They didn't like it much, but still buy some of the stuff.

De-ris
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amway is a good general article on it.

Amway is basically a pyramid scheme, where the people at the top earn money off of the people at the bottom- and the ones at the bottom lose money until they dupe people into investing in Amway. To those who've managed to make some money from it, it's akin to a religion: "Employ yourself, sell products to yourself and your family, and you'll get rich!" But to those of us who've looked closely at it, it reeks of scam.

Sorry for being obscure...
