Be strong, be strong.
1. I hate hate hate absolutely HATE it when the class I'm in shares a wall with another class - the wall with the blackboard. I'm trying to concentrate on the lecture, but I just keep fixating on the damn little muffled noises of chalk hitting blackboard next door. Click. Click. Click click. Click click click click. Click Click. Click. Click click. Cliiick click click click click.

FUCK YOU MOTHERFUCKERS, COULDN'T YOU HAVE PUT THE BLACKBOARD ON A DIFFERENT WALL SO I WOULDN'T HAVE TO OVERHEAR THAT SHIT?

2. Jennifer Aniston. Everything about her is really fucking grating. Her looks. Her voice. How everyone thinks she's got great hair when it's so mundane that I want to throttle someone. I hope she dies old, forgotten, ugly, and alone.

3. You know how there are two light switches in some rooms? So you come in one door, flip the switch up for light. Go out the other door, flip the switch up to turn off the lights. Oh, nooo. They can't be up. They're supposed to be down when the lights are off. God damn, that's just wrong.

Perhaps...
its me being pedantic... and this is one of my peeves... but light switches are ON when down, and OFF when up...

Mediation
Light switches are either 'on' or 'off'. Up and down don't make a flying fuck worth of difference either way!

A fabulously subtle trick to play on flatmates / family (only really works properly with co-habitees) is to turn all the switches upside down (they're usually reversable) and discreetly watch their confusion at the change.

I think you mean the other way round...
The normal "off" position for light switches is up, and "on" is down.

If they're the other way round then they have been installed incorrectly.

Re: Aniston
You missed out bald. It would be a just fate, methinks.

And about light switches: in the room in which I work half the overhead lights are controlled by two switches at either ends of the room while the other half has only one, but which makes a pair with one of the aforementioned switches. This means that sometimes one of that pair is up and one down, depending on which of the switches was used to turn on the first mentioned set of lights (have I lost you yet?) I HATE that, I really do. What makes me like that? OCD?

Pet peeve #41: nitpicking
I was referring to toggle switches, which are standardly up when on and down when off. You can look it up on wikipedia or just mentally switch the words "up" and "down" if it makes you feel better about life.

The idea's there though.
