This is a question What's the hardest you've tried to get dumped?

Groovypoodle writes, "My mate once told his girlfriend that he didn't think it was working only for her to laugh and tell him he was hilarious. Saying she was 'too weird' and 'slightly violent' and that he didn't like her was equally hilarious. Ripping off her wing mirror, throwing it through the windscreen
and storming off in a huff merely generated an apology from her a week later..."

Just how hard have you had to work to get someone to take the hint and stay dumped?

This is so far off topic it's not even on the same planet
for which I offer humble apologies.

However, I saw this and thought of the "fluffeh kitten lovin' QOTW crowd" and couldn't resist posting the link.

Yes, I know there's a Links board but I'm scared of strangers! Please don't beat me up ...

news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/edinburgh_and_east/7443934.stm

Although a picture of the event would have been even better ....

EDIT: Here's a link with the baby kitten

edinburghnews.scotsman.com/topstories/Firefighters-use-Hoover-to-suck.4164824.jp

although the "firefighters use Hoover to suck" is a little unfortunate...

Chocolate coated kittens?
does it get any better than that?
(, Mon 9 Jun 2008, 14:06, closed)
Aww
Yay for firemen saving kitteh's
(, Mon 9 Jun 2008, 14:08, closed)
You could post that on /talk too
We get bbc links coming out of our ears!
(, Mon 9 Jun 2008, 14:10, closed)
Aw! Weewitch
Linkys on teh qotw page eh. Some people on here would have you thrown in jail for that.
I'm naming no names.
(, Mon 9 Jun 2008, 14:15, closed)
@BGB
S'okay, I'm currently hiding behind a big pile of fluffeh kittehs.
(, Mon 9 Jun 2008, 14:16, closed)
I'm just waiting
for someone to tell you that it's your fault for turning QOTW into an ACTUAL SHIT.

In the STYLE of a bad tabloid JOURNALIST.

@al
Will you defend me if the big boys come after me? Or should I ask Kaol to sharpen his knife?
(, Mon 9 Jun 2008, 14:26, closed)
If they weren't so mean and scary on the other boards...
Then you wouldn't have had to post that on here. So it's their fault and we will all stand by you if they come-a-calling.
(, Mon 9 Jun 2008, 14:28, closed)
Mean and scary?
Did you learn nothing during the fire?
We're all LOVELY!
(, Mon 9 Jun 2008, 14:30, closed)
He's got a point
it's actually some of the QOTW people that took exception to others actually enjoying themselves.

Not everyone on /board and /talk is a twat by any means.
(, Mon 9 Jun 2008, 14:36, closed)
Don't get me wrong
a lot of them/us are. But you shouldn't generalise, a lot of us are nice too :)
(, Mon 9 Jun 2008, 14:38, closed)
@TY&GN
Yes, you are. All lovely. Without exception. I'm just scared of strangers.

Trust me, it's me, not you .....

*ducks*
(, Mon 9 Jun 2008, 14:40, closed)
Haha
You're going to regret saying that.
*readies stalking hat*
(, Mon 9 Jun 2008, 14:43, closed)
@TY&GN
oo-er. A stalker. Does that mean I'm rich and famous? In which case, woo hoo. If not, oh bugger, back to work tomorrow.
(, Mon 9 Jun 2008, 14:44, closed)
Nah, I'll just harass you for a week or so
Then ask for a foursome.
(, Mon 9 Jun 2008, 14:46, closed)
You play golf?
Sorry, not really my game.

Oh, not *that* kind of foursome. Sorry again, still don't share. Actually these days we don't even get any offers...

*sobs*
(, Mon 9 Jun 2008, 14:47, closed)
Aww, maybe you just don't seem like that sort of person anymore.
Start swinging!
(, Mon 9 Jun 2008, 14:49, closed)
@TWW
you mean tennis doubles? I'll play, but I don't have a partner and i'm not very good.
(, Mon 9 Jun 2008, 14:50, closed)
@TY&GN
swinging? Back to golf again are we?

@al : Tennis? In Scotland? I don't bloody think so. Why'd you think Andy Murray doesn't win at Wimbers? Cos it's really not our game. Not sure what is, these days.
(, Mon 9 Jun 2008, 14:52, closed)
Errrr
binge drinking and serious liver disease?

*runs away from the angry scots*

sooorrrrrryyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!
(, Mon 9 Jun 2008, 14:53, closed)
@al
no need to run. Lothian Road, Edinburgh, on a Friday night is living, spewing proof that we drink too much.

Still, at least we're top of the table in something. Even if it is only obesity and binge drinking ...

Says the "two glasses of wine and I'm pished" Scot with a BMI under twenty. I always have to be different.
(, Mon 9 Jun 2008, 14:57, closed)
The Scots are pretty handy at Curling!
I'm half-scotch, I can do the drinking but I don't like ice at all.
(, Mon 9 Jun 2008, 15:17, closed)
@TY&GN
you're half whisky? Christ, how much do you drink?
(, Mon 9 Jun 2008, 15:20, closed)
I'm staying vaguelly near the Lothian Road
in July when i go to my cousins wedding.

I shall have to go and have a look!
(, Mon 9 Jun 2008, 15:20, closed)
TWW
I say scotch for scottish, it's just quicker :)

I do drink too much though :(
(, Mon 9 Jun 2008, 15:23, closed)
@al
approach with extreme caution. And wear wellies. The vomit and pee flow freely, along with the blood ....

Oh, when in July?
(, Mon 9 Jun 2008, 15:24, closed)
errrrrr
26th i think? We are staying in a very posh hotel on the High Street.
(, Mon 9 Jun 2008, 15:32, closed)
@al
they're all a bit posh on the High Street, lovey. Sadly, can't help you out with a sightseeing tour as I will be lounging by a swimming pool in Spain. Not wearing very much. *counts* Four things in fact. Two piece bikini, wedding ring and factor 35!
(, Mon 9 Jun 2008, 15:39, closed)
Now come on
you know the rules, pictures, or it didn't happen!

I've been to Edinburgh a few times so don't really need help with the site seeing, plus most of the weekend will be spent drinking my uncle and aunts wine.
(, Mon 9 Jun 2008, 15:56, closed)
Use your imagination
5 feet-not-much tall

BMI less than twenty

Not exactly a supermodel, am I?
(, Mon 9 Jun 2008, 16:00, closed)
Firstly
short does not mean unattractive, my girlfriend is only little (not that little admittedly) and secondly I don't know what BMI represents in terms of people size.

But don't do yourself down, I'm sure your lovely!
(, Mon 9 Jun 2008, 16:05, closed)
aaaw thanks
MrWitch likes me! Physical build is more Twiggy than Elle Macpherson, but hey, at least I save money buying clothes in kids' shops.
(, Mon 9 Jun 2008, 16:13, closed)
Twiggys nice.
And as you say, the fact the Mr Witch the burly builder (with his well polished helmet) likes you is the most important thing.
(, Mon 9 Jun 2008, 16:20, closed)
Ooo that reminds me
his helmet must be due another polish

*checks calendar*

*looks out Mr Sheen*
(, Mon 9 Jun 2008, 16:22, closed)
I'm amazed that
we've gotten to 35 responses, and I'm the first to wonder what a "vibrascope camera" is?

If it were Wednesday, people would be all over that, methinks...
(, Mon 9 Jun 2008, 18:11, closed)
Mmmmmmm
I have no idea. Neither does Wiki. Sounds rather fun though. Depending on how you use is.

Let's see. Odd-sounding camera + firefighters + fluffeh kitten = actually let's not go there..
(, Mon 9 Jun 2008, 18:17, closed)
A BMI under 20
means she's pretty small. They banned models with a BMI of 18 or less from Milan catwalks because they didn't want to incite anorexia.
(, Mon 9 Jun 2008, 20:02, closed)
@MM
I'm far from anorexic - love my food too much for that. My BMI is just under 20 according to Wii fit. I am very small made
