This is a question Sacked II

I once had a "friend" (I hated his guts) who lost two jobs on the same day - he drunkenly crashed the taxi he was driving when he was supposed to be at his office job. How have you been sacked?

Let's do some simple arithmetic mixed with some presumptions and a little social engineering shall we?
I have more than once noted when Shambles comes online and when he goes offline on this site. I know of other users who used to give him shit about it - suggesting that he was remiss in being there for his family because it seemed that he spent all of his waking hours on b3ta posting negative, belittling posts.
So, just out of interest I decided to log his online comings and goings on this site. Just for a few days. Just to see. Probably a bit creepy but no more than strangers posting users personal details here. Or him repeatedly posting another member's real name.

So usually he starts posting at around 0600 UK time. Weekday or weekend doesn't seem to make a difference. Clearly he's an early riser. He tends to post fairly consistently during the day (again doesn't seem to matter which day particularly). So, he's on b3ta at work I presume - let's hope all this bitchiness doesn't affect his performance.
And the posts seem to increase in frequency in the evening. On the weekends most of the day he appears to be posting with the same intensity and frequency as he does during weekday evenings. The only conclusion I can draw from that is that he's pretty much on his computer most days, particularly mornings, evenings and weekends. Which means he's clearly not spending that time with his family.

He has in the past accused others of being online for 18 hours. I personally am a night owl. I am frequently up at around 0200-0300. I usually go online or watch tv quietly so as not to wake my family. I work as a contractor, study at uni and I'm the stay-at-home-dad. So essentially I'm on and off the computer all day. I do tend to check in here around 1900 my time - interestingly Shambo is still usually online making his usual hateful posts to and about people. That's means it's about midnight his time. Bearing in mind my posting frequency is nowhere near his level. I might type up a story and then post it or I may get involved in answering posts in a thread but I'm not constantly posting comments in multiple threads day and night. Personally I think that's a bit sad, that a person has so much invective and vitriol to post here so consistently really makes you wonder what sort of person they might be in the real world.

So. 0600 till at least 0000. Now correct me if I'm wrong but that makes 18 hours. Look we all know that Shambles is a hypocrite, but if you look at the number of posts he's made since he's been here it really starts to look a bit like he's obsessed with posting snide, nasty comments on this site - 10602 messages on /board, 92321 messages on /talk and a paltry 13145 replies on /qotw. Over 10 years, 10 months and 5 days. Now even if you just work the posts over time out as a mean value that's at least 30 posts a day to /qotw alone. Remember that's a mean value - it doesn't take into account the times when he is (rarely it would seem) away from his computer or times when he's mashing the keyboard like a demented gibbon trying to get out his latest nastiest zing.

Now that I've typed this out and actually spent a couple of minutes counting my fingers and toes to do the maths I'm a little concerned. At what point during the day when he's either not working or sleeping does he actually spend time with his family? He certainly seems to spend an inordinately large amount of his time on this website making snide, bullying and cheap-shot style sarcastic posts.
On second thoughts I probably shouldn't worry. If he is anything in real life like the bully that he is here then the time he spends online is probably a respite for those close to him.

Let's hope that's not the case.

Christ. You've written fucking loads here.
And at one point you had the nerve to use the word "interestingly" before prattling on for a million paragraphs about how someone might/might not be on their computer.

Whether the stuff Shambolic posts is, as you say "negative and vitriolic" is open to interpretation. It probably is. But it's frequently funny. And at least it's punchy.

In short - you decided to take issue with someone committing a large chunk of their time to b3ta - by sitting down and spewing forth the above lengthy vaginal discharge.

I just wondered whether he's got some kind of "app" that tells him when someone's posted in one of the threads he's commented in
So he can jump in there and respond, quick. Does seem a very rapid responder.

BTW I didn't think I needed to spell it out, but when I said "contract", I meant a proper, written employment contract that can be whipped out in times of need and quoted from. As opposed to a verbal agreement (which is a form of contract, but very difficult to prove, e.g. in a tribunal)
