This is a question Silly Achievements

Happy Phantom writes, "Sometimes - by planning or happy accident - you achieve something with which you are quite pleased, but which makes little or no difference to the rest of the world.

"This morning, I woke up and spontaneously farted the opening three notes from The Frog Chorus."

What did YOU do?

Mozart was Austrian
Why would you be studying him in A-level German too?

Anschluss
Adolf was an Austrian too and that didn't stop him developing his career in Greater Germany. A-Level German syllabuses are inclusive of the achievements of their near neighbours.

Interesting.....
There's 9 neighbouring countries to Germany (10 if you include Liechtenstein, which although not directly adjoined, might be considered a neighbour). They must have long lessons if they cover the achievements of all of their neighbours.

That said, the theme of this question is "silly achievements" and both Hitler and Mozart qualify in this field. So maybe the syllabus only covers neighbouring countries silly achievements, which should bring down the teaching time somewhat.

The greatest trick the Austrians ever pulled off
was to convince the world that Beethoven was Austrian and Hitler was German.
