Funny, yes...But your colleagues are hardly stupid when they know enough about a completely foreign language and its rules that they can make a good guess at the oposite of "increment". Heck, I bet only 50% of the population of England could tell you that with any authority.
I'm also not sure now that the oposite of an increment is a decrement.
