Huge thanksdue to whoever suggested Red Bangers Brought Back from France, we used to have tremendous fun with them. They had short fuses and were very loud. My favourite thing to do was light them and throw them under my mate's feet as he drove along. Hilarity ensued as he cursed wildly and drove with his feet on the dashboard, one hand covering his knackers just in case. A real highlight, however, was throwing a large one into the security office at the stately home where I worked. More hilarity as all the alarms went off and seven police cars arrived. They were told it was a false alarm. Ah, those were the days...
