It's not a Radio 1 campaign - they never said that "if you buy this... we'll play it", so they haven't done anything particularly wrong.
That said, I would have loved to have known what they'd have done with Kunt and The Gang, where they couldn't mention the band, songtitle or record label (that got to 66 if anyone is interested).
