# Ummm. How does this 3view thing work?
I fail to see how attaching a £299 box to my TV with a cable is cheaper and less geeky than attaching a cheap £250 pc to my TV with a cable.

And anyway, I watch most non live TV stuff (including iPlayer, 4OD and the ITV player thingy) via my £250 PS3 which is rather geekily attached to my TV with a cable.

# Hmmm.
A start-up company with little to no tie-in with the consortium behind YouView, and no clear roll-out policy (or agreements in place) for provision of On-Demand content from the main 4 broadcasters.

Approach with caution.

# I like the way
the thing at the top of the page linked implies that you can watch Sky 1 on it. Buried in the FAQ is a complete lack of channels you can watch but a note that you can watch Sky player through it if you have a Sky subscription.

Just think of all the Sky subscribers jumping at this chance to own a box which records things for you, lets you pause live TV, watch in HD and watch a selection of programmes whenever you want...

Hang on...

# Quite.
Should one want to go down this route, but without subscription, The new Humax Freeview HD PVRs are the way to go. Great bits of kit.

Edit: This sounds like I work PR for Humax :) I don't - I recently got one for my Mother.
