Even as a child I recall thinking'That kid's not real, it's a doll on strings, and NOW he's on a fucking trolley!' That's my over riding memory, says something right there, surely.

Yes it was as bad as I remember, you spend the whole movie going 'When do they start busting ghosts!?' and then the stature of liberty starts walking and people start singing and it all goes a bit Spiderman 2.
Good for beered up banter, but good lord, missed the sequel bullseye by a MILE!
