With added 'FPS and Joypad controllers don't really work' At least if your reflexes are as dire as mine.

Bad guy jumps up to your left... Cursor tracks left... cursor tracks left... OMG I'm riddled with bullets.

And I'm not a fan of the way in which so many games are designed for multiplayer with just a cursory single player event. I paid my money - give me a good game FFS!
