its just the fact that ive seen some pretty fucked up 'furry' stuff online (mostly on deviant art or random google searches) - so much so, that whenever i see someone draw an animal character in this fashion, i keep expecting them to draw a rhino transvestite with a huge purple cock in bondage gear being bummed by a muscly horse bodybuilder with spunk dripping out of his every orifice.
I equate it to being a very fetishistic thing, which is a shame, as i know lots of 'furries' dont really act in this way. I just find it creepy, is all.

It's pretty much the main reason furries are seen as they are; too much fucked up shit. The word 'subtle' doesn't belong in most furries' vocabulary, which is, as you said, a shame.
