# Why is....
...she trying to light her wrist-corkscrew attachment from a candle?

New NOTW scandal? Let's make it so

# I was trying to avoid such meat 'n' potatoes issues and breathe in the rarefied mountain air of the moral high ground.
So, in brief, dunno.

# She never had any involvement in the said attachment and it was never proven that she used them.
Never in any way at all was she involved in the reproachable candle behaviour of her colleagues and anyway, flames were not mentioned so that's outside the law. Uhhuuhh?

Edit: that sounds a bit mental but that's life in the NOTW world

# Aw, man,
I could drone on about all this for hours.
Actually, I already have, but could easily carry on for a few more hours.

# she has so far only stated that it is 'inconceivable' that she knew anything about it.
"in·con·ceiv·a·ble/inknsvbl/Adjective: Not capable of being imagined or grasped mentally; unbelievable"
a strange statement to make. i, for one, can imagine it and according to the many media reports i have heard on the subject many others can too.
inconceivable - strange word.

# Good point.
A good journo doesn't use the language sloppily.
Although I think the poor dear (and possible criminal) may have been under some stress at the time. And hacks (eg me) often find exaggeration hard to resist.

# i've been trying for ages
and i just can't think of anything that may be considered inconceivable.
considering inconceivability. now i am confuzzled.

# Yeah, you're right.
Something inconceivable is literally inconceivable.
