I don't think it was anything to do it being a socialist party but the fact
that some of the people seem to have forgotten what they were fighting for and unemployed working-class people to them were just to be pitied, won over and made to work for them for free. In the end I left pissed off with these so-called glitterati who gave me no self worth whatsoever. I believe that sometimes socialist causes attracts the wrong kind of people the ones who are only interested in self-promotion and patting themselves on the back for all the good causes they believe in, yet don't fully understand those causes.
It's like the old joke -
