Use anchoviise as a flavouring......like a spoon of marmite in a stew...IE... marmite equells disgusting.... a little in a stew adds a little depth that nothing else can.....
Anchovies mixed with dressing for salds is ace.....

Yer me too 99% perscent of the time.... salad cream vinigar salt and white/ black pepper..Just people tent to try and eat an anchovie and go yuck....! but stick them in a dressing instead of salt and they're great....
