# i used to stay with my aunt and uncle as a child
my hair went down to the back of my knees, wonderfully blonde and wavy.
joey the budgie got let out once a day. he liked to land on the back of my neck, peck the fuck out of me and try to build a nest in my hair. as my aunt wears a wig and my uncle is bald, finding a hairbrush was difficult. i got home with a head like a dandelion clock. mum took one look and chopped my hair off to the neck. i never forgave that budgie and never let my mum near my head with a pair of scissors again.
