FLCL was one of the finest animes ever - so stylish and well made.I love Gainax, but i hate what theyve done with evangelion now though.
Ive seen Abenobashi and quite liked all the pop culture references in that one episode (rocky, fist of the north star, bruce lee etc). Cant remember much else about it though :-/
