
for the serious computery stuff* that is. It's unfortunately still not very good for anything media-ish like playing/editing movies, drawing packages etc etc. I always thought of apple OS as like the best of both worlds, as media-savvy as windows but as stable and able to do (some at least) serious computer stuff as Linux.

I always ask people what they want when anything to do with an OS comes up.
If they want gaming, then windows is the only answer.
If they are not interested in gaming then give the alternatives a shot.
People are often suprised.
I still disagree with apples pricing scheme though, but they are in business and whilst people are willing to pay it then why change.
