Haha... 10 minutes though?
I never played them that much, but I'm sure I can remember playing some that seemed to take about 30 or 40 minutes to load

I might edit it
for the sake of historical accuracy in that case. 30 bloody minutes! pfffft with no guarantee of a game at the end of it
EDIT: edited and renamed the filename in your honour

I may be wrong, but that's how I remember it.....
I only had one friend with one, and I can remember we used to spend all night playing them, up till 8 in the morning type things, he only had three games, but happy times were had by all :-)
Edit to your edit: HAHAHA.... I'm deeply honoured and thank you kindly sir ..! (just hope I was right.!"

Actually
Most games took about four minutes to load - it just seemed like hours to our impatient child minds.
Later on, with the 128k speccy and multi-load games, they started to get a bit longer, but no game ever took half an hour!
There are, bizarrely, some examples on youtube: Stick in 'spectrum loading sequence' and you can see the vids are mostly about 6 minutes long, including a minute or two of gameplay at the end.
