one of the coolest things I've ever done is a 'urban city tour' of LAwhere they take you to all the 'dodgy' bits of LA (Skid Row, South Central etc), not just the movie stars homes etc. One of the things was to drive through the areas shown in Falling Down

I did an "Urban Eco Tour" of a favela slum in Rio de Janeroas part of a 7 city band tour of Brazil - quite amazing (and the stench of raw sewage will not leave my memory any time soon, even after 8 years!)
