Also botched / poorly implemented:Controller vibration (We dont need it! It impedes gameplay! Oh, actually - lets put it in)
Backwards compatibility (I know, lets take away backwards compatibility and remake old games in HD to get more money!)
Various hard drive sizes / versions & a new console look & logo branding so early in the life of the machine.
Its these things (plus some other stuff, like my camera succumbing to the 'sony timer') that have made me go right off sony.
