
I reckon it's wandered out from "uncanny valley" territory.
The eyes are oddly shaped for a cat and in fact look slightly gnopsed. This, and the general facial proportions, mean the facial markers seem more human than feline, so there is a really "human" look to it.
A fluffeh (and disapproving) human, but human nevertheless.
